Using your workspace
Memory and skills
Use memory for durable context and skills for repeatable methods, then review what is saved.
Use memory for context that should carry forward
Memory can keep useful details such as a project vocabulary or a writing preference for an agent. Review the saved note and correct it if it turns a guess into a fact. Memory behavior depends on the agent and engine; it is not a guarantee that every conversation will retain every detail.
Use a skill for a repeatable method
A skill is a set of instructions for a kind of work, such as preparing a meeting recap. Include the inputs it expects, the steps to follow and what the output should contain. Select the skill when you want to use it.
Keep saved context safe and current
- Do not save passwords, API keys, session cookies or verification codes in memory or a skill.
- Remove outdated details and review changes after a task teaches you something useful.
- Ask for current evidence when an answer depends on facts that may have changed.
