Suparagent vs Hermes Agent

Hermes Agent is a Nous Research project with CLI and desktop installation paths and a documented learning loop for creating skills and retaining knowledge. Suparagent is a browser workspace for named agents, rooms, editable memory and routines.

Runtime control or workspace organization

Hermes can suit developers who want to choose where an agent runs, from local installation to server or cloud execution described in its docs. That flexibility means operators need to understand installation ownership, credentials, tool access and maintenance. Suparagent groups ongoing work through named roles and rooms; users provide a Boat sandbox key and AI account.

Example: turn a repeated process into a skill

Give Hermes a recurring research or maintenance task, inspect any skill it records, then check whether it applies the guidance correctly on a later run. In Suparagent, edit the memory or skill directly and place the role-specific agent in a shared room. Compare visibility and editability of retained instructions, not just whether the agent claims to learn.

Choose and verify

Prefer Hermes if operating the runtime yourself is a requirement. Prefer Suparagent if a browser workspace for agent roles better fits. Verify model and tool support in current docs. Suparagent is open to sign up, and long-running task qualification remains pending.

Try the same task twice with a controlled change in instructions. Review what the learning loop retained and whether that knowledge can be corrected, removed or scoped to one task instead of bleeding into unrelated sessions.
